The student visa (or Student
visa - subclass 500) is intended for people studying in Australia for a period
of more than 12 weeks. It applies to all types of training: graduate studies at
university (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate), linguistic stays or vocational
training.
This visa is valid for the
duration of your studies in Australia and expires until two months after the
end of the course. This visa has the advantage of allowing you to work up to 40
hours a fortnight in parallel with your courses and full time during the school

The working holiday visa for

The Working Holiday Visa (or
Working Holiday visa - subclass 417), is intended for French, Canadian and
Belgian citizens, between 18 and 30 years old. This visa allows you to spend
twelve months on the Australian territory by combining work, travels and
discoveries of Australia, with the possibility to study for a maximum duration
of 17 weeks. This is the opportunity to take a few English classes when you
arrive to be ready to face the Australian labor market and compete with other
backpackers from around the world! This visa is obtained within a few days
online and it is renewable only if you do 3 months of work in specific sectors
and rural areas.
Our tip: once the visa
application is made, you have up to a year to go to Australia, the visa
activating when you enter the territory. You can apply for a visa until the day
before you turn 31 and leave for Australia one year later.
